Spring Tuesdays
Two Sessions to choose from:
Session One: March 5 - April 9 (6 Classes) Session Full
Session Two: April 16 - May 21 (6 Classes) Session Full

$420 / participant - ($70/day)
Ages 8 - 12
Another Spring season of outdoor skills and adventures! Join us while we navigate the landscape and learn about Spring edibles, animal tracks, fire building, orienteering, knife skills, shelter building, bird language, wildcrafting and all the other seasonal learning opportunities that nature provides (and there's always something). Classes also include art projects, scientific studies, conceptual physics and much more.
Our small groups encourage working in community while also gaining independent skills as well as how to better understand the natural world, themselves and each other. Games, exploring the landscapes, and handmade projects are daily activities and lead by advanced level outdoor educators.
Locations: Campgaw Campground, and Ramapo Valley Reservation in Mahwah, NJ

The village
Summer camp
Monday July 15 - Friday July 19

Ages 8+
Location: Vulpes Outdoor Classroom, Bloomfield, NJ
An adventure into the foundations of community: Food, long-term shelters, fire tending and team work! This week, we will build a village from the ground up. Campers will learn how to safely use knives, saws, and hatchets, how to build a shelter platform, how to build shelters of their choice, advanced fire skills and cooking techniques and most importantly, how to work together. This week is all about turning the fantasy of creating our own society into a reality.
Our small group summer camps encourage kids to be aware, to work in a community, and gain independence and confidence through respect for themselves, the natural world and each other. The Hunter
Summer camp
Monday Aug 19 - Friday Aug 23
10 am - 3:30 pm
$400 / participant
Ages 8+
Location: Reeve’s Meadow, Harriman State Park, NY + Campgaw Campground, Mahwah, NJ
It takes a wide range of skills to become a good hunter. A hunter has to know how to track animals, listen to the forest, build and use their own hunting equipment, camouflage themselves and their movements, how to process their game, and much more. This week is all about learning about the sacred art of primitive hunting (no animals will be harmed). Students will make their own bows and arrows, practice archery, work on their awareness and movement and have a TON OF FUN!
